If you aren’t familiar with fundraising, starting and running one can seem daunting. Lucky for you, we’ve made the journey a time or two and have mapped out helpful steps along the way.
Cast Off
Set Your Profit Goal
Before you can set off, make sure your group knows where you are going. Having a profit goal helps motivate your sellers and your supporters!
Decide Your Fundraising Style
Are you a group interested in meeting the neighborhood, door-to-door? Are you a serial link-sharer on social media? Whatever your fundraising style, make sure to activate your group portal on MyFundraisingPlace.com. Inside your portal, you can customize your fundraiser intro, share your group link, and enter your final orders.
Some items are only available through the online store.
Get Your Sellers Set Up
Register your sellers in your group portal and make sure everyone is on board! They can register themselves in the online portal (with QR codes on our paper fundraising sheets/with the registration link in your portal) or you can upload your sheet and roster.
Wind in Your Sails
Hold a Kick-Off Meeting
Get your sellers excited to go! Have a meeting where you introduce your fundraiser, its purpose, and what this whole Sound Fundraising thing is about.
Introduce Important Information
Help your sellers understand the who, what, when, and why of your fundraiser. Make sure everyone knows important dates, who to contact with questions, and what is expected of them during this fundraiser. Share this information with your supporters as well by announcing it in your “Share Store” group portal or on social media.
Share Useful Tools
Pictures for social media posts; links to guides on door-to-door fundraising; calculators or tracking sheets to help measure profit progress; etc. Help your group succeed by ensuring they have helpful devices from the start.

Share Your Story
Make sure your supporters know who you are and what your group is funding. Whether it is chatting with neighbors at the park or blasting Facebook with pictures, your supporters are just as interested in you as they are our delicious products! Your fundraising portal allows you to type personal support messages to share in your group portal.
Sell and Keep Track
Share the good of fundraising and share the goodness of our products with friends, family, and others. Every group earns back 40% profit for each unit sold. As people support you, make sure to keep track. Online sales are automatically totaled in your MyFundraisingPlace.com portal. If you are using paper order forms, collect money ahead of time so you have it when you are ready to turn your orders in.
Returning to Port
Collect Your Totals
To ensure all your supporters get the product they ordered, collect order forms, any funds received, and tally all orders. Once you turn in your last orders to us, we sort each seller’s portion and deliver within 7-10 days.
Schedule Product Pick-Up
Delivery takes coordination. Schedule a meeting location at delivery for your sellers to pick up their orders and have volunteers and tables ready to sort items out. Have a freezer ready if you need to meet later than the appointed delivery time.
Deliver!
Now it’s your turn to deliver! Once we drop off your products, it’s up to you and your sellers to distribute them to the people who so generously supported you. Make sure to thank your supporters!
